On the last day of the tour we got up early to head to the usual final location, the Mayan ruins and archeological zone at Xcambó, which dates to the third century AD. This is a special location to be able to shoot in, but I haven’t really cracked using it as a backdrop for model photographs. We got there early and shot for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, Kate wasn’t feeling great. Afterward, as we headed back to the Hacienda, we stopped by the property where Humberto is building a new house on. It’s going to be an amazing place. We then headed back to the Hacienda Santo Domingo to pack up and check out. We then headed into Mérida for our farewell dinner at La Recova. I ended up having what turned out to be a huge piece of meat, and I’m happy when they forgot to bring a take-away box because it would have been too much to deal with.
As we prepared to disperse, some of the guys who were leaving the next day were taken to get a Covid test ant a less expensive place that Humberto knew. Ultimately we were all dispersed to our new domiciles to rest after a nice tour. I returned to my starting Airbnb where I would spend another four days exploring Mérida.
