I had the pleasure of having another photo shoot at my house with local model Jennifer Jones on what turned out to be a grey drizzly day. I’m glad to have the opportunity to work repeatedly with Jenn. We started off an hour later than originally planned, which had the side benefit of giving the space heater a little longer to warm up the garage. Because of the weather, we ended up not shooting outside at all but ended up shooting in the house and the garage. Jenn had brought some velvet fabric which really picked up the light nicely. We also spent quite a bit of time experimenting with light painting, which always turns out to be a slow process. Towards the end, I was getting a bitter handle on it and could at least be a little more deterministic in what we were trying to create — but it’s always a bit of a surprise when you see the final image. We had scheduled 4 hours to shoot, but time always seems to fly by quickly when I’m working with Jenn. I’m sure we’ll have many more opportunities to work together again.
