Another Trip To The Beach

After getting up at 5 am (after only 2 hours of sleep) I headed down to Santa Cruz for a photoshoot with Vivian Cove, someone with whom I’ve worked both at retreats around the world and one-on-one at my house. The temperature was forecast to be 105° at my house so I was happy to be spending at least the first part of the day in a cooler region. Driving down it was clear and sunny until I reached just outside Santa Cruz where the marine layer / fog was sitting heavy making it cool and a bit gloomy. We went to Panther Beach, which is near to Santa Cruz. After a bit of a climb down we pretty much had the place to ourselves as we were there pretty early. We made some nice shots in the foggy/misty scenes, and then about 2/3 of the time through our shoot, the sun managed to break through and the marine layer got burned off. Although we weren’t there quite as long as some of my shoots we managed to get some interesting images. I look forward to our next outing on the coast.
