Local La Traviata

I joined Bob and went downtown to the Bankhead Theater to see Livermore Valley Opera’s production of Verdi’s La Traviata. There was an African music festival going on outside the theater, but that music didn’t permeate inside. I had seen this opera one time before in San Francisco about 3 years ago. While the staging was perhaps not quite as lush, the production was very good! The singing of the principal characters was excellent. It’s a really moving and sad opera and ended on a very emotional note. I’m really glad I was able to go.
