For the second time in roughly a week, I got a chance to meet and have a photo shoot with a new model who I had never met before. Lilly Rae is a traveling model, as well as a photographer, originally from Australia. She reached out to me from out of the blue and we agreed to work together. She has been modeling for over a decade, but dropped out of full-time work a while ago and has recently gotten back into it. She didn’t have a car in the area, and because of where she was originally going to be staying, I agreed to pick her up. By the time our shoot actually happened, she had changed her lodging to a place in south Berkeley, which gave me a chance to drive to some areas I haven’t been in in quite a while. I also agreed to drive her back at the end of our shoot. It was fun to see bits of Berkeley again, but I didn’t love driving in rush hour.
I really enjoyed our shoot together. She was very collaborative and brought lots of wardrobe that we managed to shoot. My only regret was that we didn’t have enough time. I guess it’s good to leave some ideas on the table to give some motivation for getting together again. I hope we have the opportunity to work again in the future.
